Dramatic Dodging and Burning in Photoshop
Dodging and Burning is a technique that allows you to selectively brighten and darken certain portions of your image. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how I created a strong, directional lighting effect on a photo by applying some dramatic Dodging and Burning in Photoshop. This technique works great when used subtly, so feel free to tone it down to suit your liking. You can do this by applying the effect using a lower opacity brush, or by turning down the opacity of the overall layers when you’re finished.
